Martine Fronk
,   PRESIDENT
I started playing pickleball in 2019 after I retired from 34 years of teaching in Vista Unified School District. I have lived in Oceanside for 35 years, raised four sons here, and my husband and I plan to stay and continue enjoying the beach, pickleball, and the great people of this community. I am a very service minded individual and I believe that giving back to the community is not only important, but necessary.

In April of 2021, I walked onto the Melba Bishop courts and discovered the joys of pickleball for the first time. Like many of you, it has now become an important part of my life. Although the game provides a great workout, I also enjoy the warm, inclusive environment that makes our Oceanside courts a special place to meet.

Julie Walker,  TREASURER
Hi, my name is Julie Walker. I’m a wife, mom and grand mom. My husband and I own/run an outpatient Physical Therapy practice in Menifee. We moved to Cardiff in 2016 and was introduced to pickleball in 2019. Love the game and the people we have met on the way.

Linda Bray,  SECRETARY
I am a long time resident of Oceanside and have been playing pickleball since 2019. Through the programs at Melba Bishop, I have learned how to play, have joined a league and have met lots of new friends who share my love for the sport.  What I love most about pickleball is that no matter how much you know, there is always more to learn!  I am so excited to be part of the Melba Bishop Board of Directors and to give back to the group.

Marsha Singer, SOCIAL DIRECTOR
On March 14
th  2022, I retired from a career in Biotech, and on March 15th  I attended Chickleball for the first time. I have been hooked on the game ever since.  My husband and I have owned a home in Oceanside for 20 years.  Besides enjoying time with my husband and grandbabies, pickleball has become an important part of my retirement.  Prior to March 15th I had only seen three pickleball games, now I thoroughly enjoy my pickleball play. The game is fun, but the social interaction has been so invaluable to me.  I believe by serving on the Melba Bishop Board as Social Director, I will be able to give back to the community of Oceanside in a fun and positive way.
